Keto Waffles (Gluten Free)

Keto waffles, made with almond flour, are easy and so delicious.
This is not a recipe for the tiny waffle maker; this is a recipe to make regular belgium waffles, low-carb and keto friendly.
You don’t need a blender as the batter can be mixed by hand. You don’t have to add any sweetener as that can be done when you eat them with a sugar free maple syrup if you’re keto or a regular maple syrup if you’re paleo.
What are the Ingredients for Keto Waffles
- Almond Flour (1/2 cup)
- Eggs (4)
- Melted Butter(2 tablespoons)
- Sour Cream (1/4 cup) (can use 4 tablespoons cream cheese)
- Baking Soda (1/4 teaspoon)
- Sweetener is optional. I leave out, so I can use in savory recipes.
- Cooking Spray
Are Keto Waffles Gluten Free?
Yes, the only flour used is almond flour. High in protein, low in carbs, zero gluten, makes these keto and paleo friendly.
Use a smattering of Swerve Confectioner’s sweetener or a sugar free maple syrup. I use Choc Zero maple syrup.
What Kind of Waffle Maker Do You Use?
I use a Belgium waffle maker, which makes a thicker waffle and this makes anywhere from three to four large waffles. If you use your mini waffle maker, you will get a lot more.
Can You Freeze Keto Waffles?
Yes. You can. Stick them in plastic zip locks and stick on oven at 400 degrees F. for a few minutes. They rebake fast.

- Incorporate blueberries or pecans inside the batter.
- Use for sandwiches (using no sweetener in batter)

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 4 tablespoons sour cream
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- dash salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- baking spray for waffle maker
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Spray waffle maker. Turn heat to 75% capacity if you have the option. For example, I turned to 4 out of 6.
- Pour a scant 1/2 cup waffle batter and cook accordingly. It takes about 5-6 minutes a waffle.
- Freeze: You can freeze the waffles in a plastic ziplock and bake in 400 degree oven to re-bake for a few minutes. They will crisp back up.
