My view is that if you intentionally make a plan for enjoying your favorite traditional dishes and holiday parties by eating clean and healthy in between the festivities, you will usher in 2017 feeling good. I’m starting with my favorite seven weight loss paleo soups that will fill you up and are easy to make.
Two of these are bone broths, but they are so healthy, and are great to drink for breakfast or before a meal, aside from using them to make heartier soups.

I dine out frequently. The food I cook in my own kitchen doesn’t typically affect my weight, but eating in restaurants does. Then there are times all the birthdays and food events merge on the calendar and not only are my jeans tight, my dresses are tight. That’s never good. That happened this summer and I quickly took hold of the situation. One of the ways I got back into my dresses within a few short weeks was to pull out my lower carb, paleo recipes. I have been very reluctant here to talk about food that is helpful in losing weight. My gut says its time to come forward and present some helpful recipes to encourage people to lose that five or a hundred and five extra pounds. I lost 30 pounds when I was 17 and never gained that back. I’ve since lost more, but I remember the freedom of that loss. In coming days, I’ll address this more.

Any recipe calling for cream can be substituted with unsweetened coconut milk.

Broccoli Basil Soup (made with spinach, garlic, olive oil, pecorino cheese) is good for you in a big way.
Vegetable Beef Soup (made with turnips, kale, carrots, beef) is a meal you need to make double batch and eat two nights in a row. get recipe here. This is the heartiest soup, high in protein, low in carbs.
Roasted Red Pepper Soup (This is for the purist. The ingredients simple. Roasted red peppers, onions and fennel. This is the soup to eat before dinner to stave off over eating. Add in some Italian sausage and make this a complete paleo soup to lose weight.
Fresh Roasted Pumpkin Soup This recipe starts with making your own pumpkin puree. Roast the pumpkin and use the roasted pumpkin seeds. There’s some heat and sweet (from apples) add to garnish. Very filling and high in fiber.
Homemade Slow Cooker Paleo Chicken Kale Soup One of my favorites ways to perk up beloved chicken soup sans noodles. If you have family members that want the noodles, just divide the soup into two pots or do what we do and add noodles separately. Everyone’s happy and kids can enjoy.
