Lamb is hot button meat. People love it or hate it. I grew up loving steak, hating lamb and couldn’t understand why anyone would order a rack of lamb in a fancy restaurant. Then something happened. Once I had lamb out in a restaurant, I was hooked! This led to many scrumptious lamb recipes in my kitchen.
However, I still wasn’t sold on leg of lamb or ground lamb. I had to find out for myself that lamb is versatile and quite special. Now I love making a rack of lamb, or lamb meatballs. I couldn’t believe how wonderful parmesan crusted lamb chops could be.
Doug’s favorite here is lamb stew, while I’m smitten with leg of lamb and am so happy when we’re celebrating with other people and I get to make this.
These are my favorite easy lamb recipes.
Reverse Sear Lollypop Lamb Chops – this is my new favorite way to make chops.
Rack of Lamb – This is fancy food that you can make at home in twenty minutes, and it’s so easy. Love loves my favorite mediterranean spices such as thyme, rosemary, oregano, coupled with dijon.
Parmesan Crusted Lamb Chops – This is a Marcella Hazan recipe that will blow you away. I hesitated to try this recipe and was so surprised at its perfection.
Greek Lamb Feta Meatballs – Using a mixture of ground beef and ground lamb, topping with a mint pistachio pesto sauce, this is a family friendly way to introduce people to lamb.
Braised Lamb Shank – Braised in red wine to fork tender goodness.
Roast Leg of Lamb – This is a classic dinner, perfect for Spring holidays. Once a leg of lamb is properly trimmed, roast to a perfect medium rare and serve with pistachio mint pesto.
Lamb Shank – Braised in red wine, fork tender good.
Lamb Feta Party Bites – These are made with a piece of bread, feta cheese and a drizzle of olive oil. Super fun idea.
Hunger Games Lamb Stew – Inspired from the book series, this stew is made with dried plums, is savory with a touch of sweet and is sensational in flavor.
