A year ago, at this very time, I was recuperating from pneumonia. I relapsed four times until they found the right anti-biotic, which left me in terrible shape, physically and emotionally. I was always a picture of health and this knocked me down.
I got back up and I fought hard this year to rebuild my immune system. One thing I did in 2013 is a blessings jar, which kept me in a state of gratitude. It’s filled to the brim and I’m starting a new one. Two things I was grateful for was being introduced to a Paleo lifestyle and increasing my strength training by going to a bootcamp three times a week for a year. Vegetables, fruits and lots of protein. You can see in the boot camp picture above, by the time summer came around, I was in pretty good shape, eating right and feeling the benefits of intensive strength training.
NOW HEAR THIS! It’s NOT about getting skinny or being a super model for me. It’s NOT about strutting around in a bikini. I will NEVER EVER wear a bikini and I don’t care. I’m not that girl who can do a hard body pose after just having a baby. I would be the one that gained 50 extra pounds. But one thing I do know is how to maintain a strong and health body.
I was a fat teenager, stressed out from things not in my control. This burned a desire inside of me to take control of my body and my life. I can say with honesty and authenticity that life still has its ups and downs, but my high energy level, which I attribute to food and exercise, gives me the resolve I need to bounce back quickly.
I HATE PEP TALKS! But, I love ideas that help me to get and stay strong and healthy.
No one leads a perfect life. No one has or does every good thing in every good moment. But, why be caught unarmed when trouble hits? Get prepared for battle by making good choices, cooking good food, and simplifying life. When illness hits, you’re more prepared to handle it. When unforeseen events stress you out, you’re better able to remain level-headed. When parties mean overindulgence, be armed with a plan to counteract it.
I am offering you a way to do just that. No matter how fit or unfit you are, this is a great deal for you. You might be at the extremes of the fitness world, the type that works out on Christmas day, or you might be sick, tired, overweight and overwhelmed. I’ve experienced both in my lifetime, and I understand the battle.
To get your year off to a good start this bundle includes 52 eBooks, fitness and meal plans and much more all for only $39.

Some examples of my favorites are the paleo cookbooks. I told you my story about why I choose to mostly live a paleo (primal blueprint) lifestyle 80% of the time. I even started a paleo category and a paleo pinterest board. This kind of eating helps me to counteract a lot of the dining out I do for restaurant reviews and keeps me feeling lighter and more energetic.

Happy New Year Angela! Sounds like you are having a great time eating well and exercising regularly and just getting more healthy. I am a walker and try to include this in each day, dark, cold, wet or not, I still get out and go for a walk to clear my head and, as I like to say, think great thoughts! I got a “Fitbit” for a gift and it is lots of fun in that I can actually look at the end of each day and find out how many calories I have burned, how much I have walked, slept, etc…it is very encouraging and makes me want to do more each day.
Best wishes for 2014!
Cheers,
Rosa
