Nashville: Brunch at the Tavern

I love the Tavern mostly for their burgers and upscale bar food, but Brunch is double love!

The cocktails are beautiful and taste better and they are two for one! I am crushing on the Sangria.

My favorite lighter choice is the Singapore Stir Fry. Fried Rice topped with two perfectly runny fried eggs.

The Nooner is unique. A bacon stir fry scramble with fried oysters on top, served with a side of white trash hash. Eggs are done right, not too hard, not too soft with a crispy oyster and spicy sauce. This is a good hangover choice.

Our favorite guilty pleasure is the Red Velvet Waffle. On this I recommend a group share, unless you have a super sweet tooth that you can’t satisfy.

You can see lots of great choices, including skinny choices although the pretzel pancakes are intriguing.

And, if breakfast is not your thing, you can’t go wrong with the Tavern Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. It is always moist, and cooked to perfection. Bun ratio is just right!
