Ingredients

  • 8 all beef hot dogs see notes

Dinner Roll Dough is another option. See notes

    Biscuit Dough

    • 5 egg whites
    • dash cream of tartar
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter cold, cut into cubes
    • 3/4 cups almond flour
    • 3 tablespoons coconut flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds won't use all
    • 1 cup cheddar cheese

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 350 degress F.
    • Mix almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, salt, pepper.
    • Mix with cold butter.
    • Whip Egg whites until stiff. Add a dash of cream of tartar.
    • Mix dry ingredients with egg whites. Doug will be very wet.
    • Using your hands, wrap biscuit dough around each hot dog.
    • Spray your baking pan.
    • Place on pan. Sprinkle each with a little bit of poppy seeds
    • Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Check to see if the bottoms are golden brown. Turn over for a two minutes.
    • Turn back over, cover with cheese, bake until cheese melts.

    Notes

    You can make these full sized or cut each hot dog into 3 pieces to make bite sized. That will give you 24 appetizer sizes.
    If you are using the dinner roll dough, follow same instructions wrapping biscuits, baking for approximately 10 minutes, at 350 degrees. F.
