Italian Sausage and Peppers Stir Fry

Easy Sausage recipe with strips of onion and bell pepper. Add optional mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound loose Italian Sausage
  • 2 red bell pepper
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese optional, can use more or less

Instructions

  • Heat oil in pan of choice on medium. You may only need a tablespoon to moisten the pan. Use more if needed.
  • Make sure you crumble the sausage before frying. Add a garlic clove in first and stir fry the sausage.
  • Cut the bell pepper into slivers. Take all seeds outs.
  • Cut the onion into slivers.
  • Once the sausage is nearly cooked through, add the onion and peppers and continue cooking, and stirring until the peppers are softened.
  • If you want to add in mozzarella cheese, cover with cheese and place in oven on upper rack for about 10 minutes at 375. degrees F 190 C.
