Strawberry Sangria with Lime and Basil
Fresh strawberries, lime, basil and a strawberry simple syrup made a perfect Spring Strawberry Sangria.
Servings: 8
- 1 1/2 cups strawberry simple syrup divided
- 1 bottle dry white wine
- 1 bottle rose wine
- 1 orange sliced (or two peaches)
- 1 lime sliced
- 12 ounces sparkling water
- basil leaves
Mix all the ingredients except the sparkling water, fresh strawberries in a pitcher at least 8 hours prior to serving and refrigerate. I usually do this overnight.
Fill pitcher with ice cubes made from an extra simple syrup, watered down by 75%. This will result in flavored ice cubes.
Serve cold with added fresh strawberries.
