This was amazing. We all took a bite, spent a minute thinking wow that’s a weird combination of food, then finished the whole thing off. I did add Brie (won’t do that again- we couldn’t taste it) and used puff pastry instead of pie pastry. I’ll definitely make this again, thank you!

I see why it seems confusing. The pears are placed on bottom not cooked and then the pie is cooked with the pastry on top and then turned over after it’s cooked.

Cook another pear — how? Slice it uniformly — when? after you cook it? Intructions state to put the pie crust on top and fold under? Photographs look like pie crust is on the bottom and chicken and pears are on top. Very confusing instructions.
