When I looked at the picture, I wanted to dive into the skillet. Looks sell this for sure. I did not care WHAT was in it. I dislike beets. BUT I will try this recipe. I have never heard of golden beets. Where do you find them…I am Mississippi born and raised. Daddy planted beets. They were purple. I also like corned beef. Sounds excellent for new years with cabbage. Because my health is failing and I have always been a very big gal, I have developed several cheats…I use bacon bits. I do eat bacon once in awhile.

There are various ways, such as breaking them into a pan which already contains almost-cooked bacon and using the residual melted fat of the bacon to cook it, but when I’m on holiday in Greece I like the Greek way.
