It just so happens that Rainer cherries are my favorite fruit. I got hooked on them as a child as we had a Rainer cherry tree in our backyard. My mom would make the MOST delicious pies with them, (after she had me shimmy up the tree to pick the cherries, of course.) I just happened to find the cherries today for $4.99 lb, buy one, get one free! You don’t find that in the heart of cherry country in Wisconsin! So today is cherry pie day in my house! Yum!!!
