ClassPass is a brilliant idea evolved in New York City and, twenty cities later, is now available in Nashville. If you don’t live in this area, ClassPass may be available in your city.
How Does ClassPass Nashville work?
One Monthly Fee, of $79 and Access to more than 40 Boutique Fitness Studios.
Right now, over 40 boutique fitness studios in the Nashville, Franklin, and Brentwood area offer classes on the ClassPass. You pay one monthly fee and get to work out all over the place. The only caveat is that you can only visit a single brand three times in one month. For example, there are multiple Pure Barre locations. Even though they are owned separately, you can only visit any Pure Barre class three times in one month.
If you want hot yoga, tae bo, dance, bootcamp, barre work, Pilates, circuit training, spin class, boxing, funky dance, you can choose when and where. In most of the participating fitness centers, you will find a huge variety of classes ranging from high intensity to recovery classes.
This kind of exercising is so great for the body because your body never gets a chance to get comfortable. Your body gets tricked, as you have to use different muscles in different ways and you can exert yourself to the level that’s right for you. The classes push you further than you will ever push yourself.
While there has never been a time in my life that I wasn’t working out, sometimes I was doing the wrong thing for too long, which can lead to injury or a lower level of fitness. The good news is that most of the classes are consciously designed to prevent injury and in many cases, help you recover from injury, especially the barre and yoga classes.
ClassPass Nashville is a fitness adventure. Not only will you get a variety of workouts, you’ll meet new friends in different places. In the last two weeks, I have visited 8 different studios, and I can honestly say, every experience was a good one.
I am joining ClassPass Nashville. I have loved every single class and left happy and energized.
Once you are signed up, you will have access to the class schedules online and will be able to make reservations up to a week in advance. Most of the fitness studios have a variety of classes. If you are new to the boutique fitness studio model, you’re in for a nice treat.
Highlights from Classpass Nashville: Williamson County
I will post about the Nashville studios separately, as I intend to check those out too.
I have had such a blast discovering new fitness studios, many under 10 miles from my house. The smaller studio means smaller classes, more attention, and a closer sense of camaraderie. I feel like I’m going to make friends all over the city, and I was overjoyed to find out the place I’ve been working out at for years, B.Fab.Fitness, is part of ClassPass.
Pure Barre in Brentwood. Here you can develop long lean muscles with small focused movements at the barre. It’s very challenging, but designed for minimal injury. We move like dancers in sync, the mats are put down the same way, and everything is timed right. The instructor, Crystal, who is also the owner, is a clear expert and led the class well, helping me get the pelvic tilts just right. If you new to the barre, you’ll love this class, because they are set up to take care of you from start to finish. A second instructor was on hand to help me and give me pointers before the class started. There is a dress code: long or cropped pants (leggings are best) and no midriffs. Classes start and end on time. This is part of the discipline of this genre.
One of the most challenging and energetic classes was at Team Tao Bo. This was truly living the sweaty life, and just the class to take when you have tons of energy and you want to burn a lot of calories, and get strong. The music makes you feel like you’re at a dance party, and the hour flew by. Bring lots of water and a towel! (Check out the instructor’s flexibility. I want that!)
Discovering new places is one of the benefits of ClassPass. 100% Fit, a few miles from my house, and I didn’t know about it. It the most beautiful barn doors that open into a very handsome studio. Abby Rorex, is well trained and knows her stuff.
This was my first official class that was entirely barre focused, and I found a new love. 100% FIT offers a variety of classes including a recovering yoga class.
The next class I tried was Hot Yoga Plus in Cool Springs. I had no idea what HOT yoga meant. The instructor was so helpful and explained that the heat serves two purposes. It warms the muscles, making it easier to move, and it builds discipline. I enjoyed every second after the twenty minutes it took me to adjust to that heat. I returned for an unheated Christian Yoga Class and I went away not only fitter, but spiritually lifted. I intend to make that part of my regular routine.
I was happy to discover Form Fitness, a neighborhood fitness boutique, on Hillsboro. The friendliness of the owner/instructor, Kelly, made this one of my most enjoyable classes. The barre class was challenging and my legs were shaking. I immediately scheduled another class to work on the 360 Balance Platform. They also have TRX classes available for an extra charge. This is a place you’ll feel at home at right away.
I also took a Jazzercise Class. This is much more challenging than you might think, and the dance classes include a measure of weight training and stretching. They have mats, bands, and weights available for you. They are super friendly, and the class is upbeat.
I took was 90 minutes at {R}elevé One Fitness. called Energy n’ pow{h}er cardio.
It’s a very unique class with 45 minutes of strength cardio, followed by 30 minutes of yoga. This is an all around, mind, body, strength, flexibility class. This gives you everything you need.
They have some advanced barre classes, and a class I especially want to take a class called tap n’ pow{h}er.
If you want to dance like Beyonce, you need to try b.fab.fitness, the place I’ve been working out for over six years. The b.fab.funk class is wild mix of hip hop and funky dance moves. You will, sweat, laugh, and feel like you’re at a dance party. This video says it all. (I wasn’t there that day), but I have “shaken it off” many times.
Bonus: Both {R}elevé One Fitness and B.Fab.Fitness offer childcare. Call them to make sure which days and for fee schedule.
Studio Novo on Carothers uses the megaformer machine and the Lagree fitness method, which has been referred to as pilates on crack. This is a very hard classes and requires a decent level of fitness. The first time I took it, my muscles were shaking right away. I returned after attending several other types of classes, and it was still the most challenging one I’ve taken. You will work several muscle groups at once. There are 10 machines, thus, ten people max working out, so be sure to reserve well in advance. Bring grippy socks or purchase them there.
The next class that is scheduled is at Xtend Barre in Franklin for an open level Xtend barre class.
I’ll come back after each studio and let you know about it.
My ClassPass Tips
- Call ahead for your first class. Ask what you need to bring, whether it’s a mat, or special grippy socks.
- Most places have cubbies for your belongings and mats, but you can bring your own.
- Bring water and a towel. If taking a barre class, wear legging type pants (not shorts), and in some cases grippy socks.
- Some classes were done in bare feet, so you might want to get your toes ready.
- Get the suite number because that’s not always on the address.
- If you cancel less than 12 hours before, you will be charged, but this will help you plan and keep you accountable.

Do what you love and you’ll love who you are.
Fitness has always been important in my life, especially considering how much I enjoy food and good health. I would love to hear from you, and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have about this program.
Back in February 2015 I received one complimentary Class Pass to try out.
It sounds like so much fun — and intense! There is a lot they offer!
I tend to get into workout ruts, and this would obviously prevent that from happening! What a great concept.
Wow, what a great business concept! I’m so excited to see that they’re in my area. Can’t wait to check it out!
I tried ClassPass too and I also loved it. The classes are so fun and it is great to check out the variety of classes available.
Your post is such a good reminder that it’s good to stay active in different ways rather than just focusing only on one thing like stretches or weights!
